Six to eight weeks minimum, and earlier for anything between October and December. Because Dallas involves travel and lodging for the band, we hold fewer last-minute slots for it than we do for Austin dates.

Can you play a Fort Worth event too?

Yes — Fort Worth and the western side of the Metroplex are the same trip for us. We keep a separate page for Fort Worth because the venues and the feel of the events differ, but the travel arrangement is identical.

Dallas is the market we travel to most outside Central Texas. It is about three hours up I-35 from our home base in Austin, which means a Dallas booking is a straightforward day for us rather than a tour — we load in during the afternoon, play the night, and drive back or stay over depending on the finish time.

Distance does not change how we prepare for a date. We work the music out with you on a call beforehand and come up ready to play it — the drive is our problem, not something that should show up in the set.

Most of our Dallas work is corporate and private — company parties, ranch events out past the suburbs, and wedding receptions. We also play the occasional public date when a promoter puts one together, which is the easiest way to hear us before you commit to a quote.

What a Dallas Booking Usually Looks Like

Dallas events tend to run to a tighter schedule than Austin ones. Corporate parties here usually have a real agenda — awards, a speech from leadership, a photographer with a shot list — and the band is expected to work around it rather than the other way round. We plan the running order with whoever is coordinating and hold the dance-floor sets until the formal part of the night is finished.

Venue-wise, the Metroplex is full of hotel ballrooms, converted warehouses and country clubs, most of which already have house sound. We are happy to use theirs or bring our own — worth settling early, because it changes the quote. For an outdoor date north of the city we will need power and cover for the gear, and in July and August we will ask about shade for the stage.
